I am running for the Anchorage Assembly because local government should work for the people who keep this city going. Renters, homeowners, workers, small business owners, parents, and seniors all deserve a city that is responsive, fair, and focused on the basics that shape daily life.
My work has always been about showing up locally, solving problems, and helping people navigate systems that often feel out of reach. I believe the Assembly should operate with transparency, urgency, and a clear focus on results that strengthen neighborhoods and protect working families.
My priorities are straightforward and rooted in what I hear from neighbors every day. Stable housing that people can afford. Safer neighborhoods built through prevention and services. Reliable city operations that people can count on, and accountability at City Hall, so residents know their voices are heard and matter.
I’m Sydney Scout, and I’m running to make sure North Anchorage’s working families have a voice on the Assembly.

What’s the Assembly do? Where’s District 1?
The Anchorage Assembly serves as the legislative body for the Municipality of Anchorage, similar to a city council. Assembly District 1 covers North Anchorage.
